They need to just add support for 2 buttons. I couldn't get HOXS64 to do the glitch either. If not, the remapped functions on the gamepad are still active. At the end, when you want to stop playing games in VICE, dont forget to close also XPadder which still runs in the background. Now you have all functions on your gamepad like you mapped it before in the tool and you can play with this mapping now in the emulator. When finised, let XPadder run in the background and start VICE then. For example, also jumping on a gamepad-key, by mapping the keyboard-key which you first have selected in VICE for "steering up", on a gamepad-button now. You can map every keyboard key on every function on your controller. Then remap the keyboard keys, which you have written down before, in XPadder to the gamepad-functions (DPAD, Buttons) on which you want them. Now open XPadder and make a buttonmapping-profil there for the controller you want to use. Write down the keyboard-keys which you have selected in VICE for steering, then close VICE.

First you start the C-128 mode in VICE and use keyboard there for steering. To emulate a C-128 seems only to work in VICE at the moment.īut as an alternative, you can use the PC-tool "XPadder" for mapping keyboard keys to your joystick/gamepad. HOXS64 in the newer versions can support Fire1 and Fire2 buttons, but HOXS can not emulate a C-128, so you have the slowdowns then in the game. Can anyone suggest the best emulator that supports 2 buttons?
